Google just announced that Non-Last-Click Rules-Based Attribution Model would be phased out in Google Ads & Google Analytics starting in July 2023, completely by September 2023.
This will include First-click, Linear, Time decay, and Position-based. Rules-Based Attribution Model.
According to Google, the changes were made as the Conversation Rate for these models Dropped to fewer than 3%
Google suggests to start using Data-Driven Attribution as it has more flexibility, with little to no data requirements suitable for all.
